Country Music at The Vat Pub in Red Deer, Alberta

Rooted in Alberta’s landscapes and small-town spirit, The Orvald Wayne Show has branded their sound as “Alberta Super Country.” With their signature blend of heartfelt story telling, rich harmonies, classic country instrumentation their songs capture raw emotion, from foot stomping anthems to soul-stirring ballads. The 7 piece band, formed in collaboration with Edmonton rock band You Me & Zach and Edmonton songstress Tayler Grace, formed in June of 2024. Hitting the ground running the group released 6 songs to streaming in the first 12 months. With shows and festivals all across Alberta and with their debut studio album set to release in early 2026, there are no signs of slowing down for the group.

A year ago tomorrow, in the morning, I got a call from my mom letting my know my Aunt Tracy had taken her life on the ranch that she worked. I wrote this song that morning at my desk after the phone call. It was one of those songs that felt like it came through me rather than from me. A first for me as a songwriter.

It took a year, but the song has grown into something we are extremely proud of.

This song is for my family and anyone that has been through something similar. And of course my Aunt Tracy, a true ramblin’ woman.
